Join us on Sundays to learn or practice Cuban Dance & meet other dancers. Start your week with Dance!
New Dancers come early!
8-10 PM The floor is open!
8 PM All Levels Lesson
HOW IT WORKS:
The floor is open for dancing 8-10 PM.
At 8 PM, for those who want to join, we offer an all levels lesson that goes through the fundamental concepts of Cuban dance - either Rueda de Casino, Casino or Cuban movement. We call a few Ruedas that everyone can have fun with or guide you through a few simple turn patterns for practice. Then the floor stays open for dancing as long as you keep dancing!
It is perfect for the social dancer who likes to learn by dancing, the dancer wanting to get in more practice time and those of us who want to get in some excercise without going to the gym.
WHAT TO BRING:
Remember its a social thing - bring refreshments and snacks to share. Be sure to bring water too! You can dance longer when you stay hydrated.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Where what you wanna. Its a casual thing. On shoes, the floors are nice wooden dance floors; you can wear ballroom heals with comfort and ease, but for new dancers and those intersted in Rueda de Casino, we recommend flat shoes.
GOOD TO KNOW:
Entrance is behind the church on Prieur St. Listen for the music and you'll find us upstairs in the Fellowship Hall.
If you are intersted in learning more about Cuban dance, wanting to learn technique, improve your social dance skills or learn more advanced Rueda de Casino moves, check out our team!
The team is open to dancers of all levels. You start with the basics and work up from there. We practice on Sun 6-8 PM and Wed 7-8 PM and are prone to unplanned dancing in random places throughout the week. To learn more, ask one of us or see our website: www.bkrueda.com

Bookoo Rueda was founded in 2014 on a dare. That dare became a mission. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization connecting people, communities, and cultures through dance. We take dance out of the studio and into the community.
